  1. Some listings of these laptops have dropped to $200 under Buy It Now on eBay. Get em while they're still around.

  2. Hi! I've been doing some research about the cheapest video editing laptop until I came across your video. But before I watched your video I found this Acer Aspire 5 Intel i5-8265U 1.60GHz 8GB Ram 256GB SSD Windows 10. And was wondering which one should I go for? Thinkpad or the Aspire 5? I'll be using the laptop for video editing using 4k videos. I'm still a beginner if you watch my videos. But just want to know what you think? And do I need that 3k screen since I'm going to be editing 4k videos? Thanks!

  3. If you're going to bench a GPU like that you could at least bench it in a game that someone might actually consider playing on a system like the W540, CS:GO, Fortnite, crap like that?

  4. Need a help I'm a beginner in autodesk inventor would you recommend me to go for ThinkPad t590 corei5 8th gen
    8gb ram , 2gb mx250 graphic card

  5. Hey Dear,
I'm using the same Laptop W540 for my minor editing and office use, Please can you provide me link for the original battery replacement. currently I'm staying in United Arab Emirates.

  6. Does it come w stylus or which active stylus works w it. Looking into thinkpad for drawing, light games and possibly running obs studio for speedpaints.

  7. The gaming part is trivial. I have the same laptop and it can run gta 5 at normal settings (online, and single player) with no sweat, doom 2016 at medium preset, far cry 3 at max, and numerous others!!. I'd check if your video card is actually doing the work. My machines only difference is that I have 12 GB of ram instead of your 32 GB. And the kicker is that I got mine for $120 off of a dude on craigslist selling them in bulk because his company upgraded. I really don't mean to make myself sound like an ass, but the fact's a fact.

I'll also leave a pro tip: Install ThinkPad fan control (TPFanControl for short) It makes the machine much quieter and will let you customize your own fan curve. Hope this helps, as the i7 4800mq is a space heater, and the fact that the intertwined heat pipes that make the whole left side of the machine heat up like a flat-top grill doesn't help the equation much.

edit: I forgot to ad that my model also doesn't have the 3k display, it has the 1920×1080 LCD.

  8. I’m saving up for a go pro and a laptop to make my content better. I currently use my phone which has issues. Since it has issues editing videos it causes my channels content to be.. very poor to say the least. Thank you for this video, it definitely helped me figure out what I’m going to do computer wise.

  9. Am also tempted on ebay by the Toshiba Satellite P70A with the i7 4700MQ (still a v.good processor), 17.3" screen, with a SSD – $400AUD in great nick as well.
